8 1/2 months

Hey there all! It's been a while now since I've had the time to sit down and hit the keyboard. I've been so busy enjoying my summer. It's been hot, but I've been soaking up the sun and keeping cool at our friends' pool. Pretty impressive, huh? I swim. I'm a swimmer. Mom helps a little.

So, things have been going well. I'm about 18 lbs. now. Yeah. You read that right. I wrote "18". I have stepped up to baby food. I like cereal with bananas...yeah, that hits the spot. In fact, that's what I'm having this morning. I like to grab the spoon and guide it into my mouth. I can't eat that stuff fast enough! Sweet potatoes are pretty cool, too. Carrots are rockin', but I don't like green beans (but I think mom is sneaking them into my carrots....). After I'm done with food, I like to kick back with a nice bottle.

I'm doing great, now. I spend a lot of my day telling people what I think...I talk incessantly. I like to make my opinion known; in church, at the doctor's office...pretty much anywhere there's a captive audience. Oh and I like to wake my parents up with a little singing and shrieking...I'm happy and I want everyone to know it.

Hopefully, I've gotten to see most of you since I got out of the hospital...if not, I hope to see you soon. Until then, I hope that you enjoy your summer and I'll talk to you in a while! Here are some pictures of yours truly. See how big I'm getting!

5 months chronological; 2 months adjusted age

Hey there folks! I've been getting to know more of you as time passes and I get to go out into the world more often. I have visitors from time to time here at my house...and sometimes I get to go outside when it's warm (especially now that RSV season is over). It's been great here at home with mom, dad, and my (dog) brother, Teddy. We're one big happy family!

At last check, I was up to about 12 lbs...but something tells me by the way all of these 0-3 month clothes are starting to tighten, that I've put on a few pounds...

I feel great and I passed all of my eye-development tests with flying colors! I am really excited to meet everyone that I haven't seen yet, and I can't wait for summer and the beach!

Here are a bunch of pics of me....just hangin' out!

DOL 119

Hey folks...long time, no talk! I've been settling in to my new digs. It's been quite a change! I'm so used to staying up all night and being coddled by all the pretty nurses. Now it's just mom and dad...so far they're alright. Sure, I like 'em...but I can see it's going to take a while to train them. They are always trying to sleep for more than 3 hours at a time?!?! What's that all about? All I need is a little nap and it's back to playing and eating.

As for me, I have been very busy lately. I've been to the pediatrician 3 times, the eye doctor's twice, and I've gotten visits from a bunch of different nurses just checking up on me. I keep telling everyone that I'm fine. All I ask is that you change my diapers whenever I mess it, feed me whenever I'm hungry, keep me warm, dry, and entertained all the time, and do this all without me having to tell you...that's all. HA!

All kidding aside, I like my new house. The people are pretty nice here. I've managed to keep on track with my growth since moving here. I'm 10 lbs., 4 oz. as of yesterday. Not too bad for someone whose due date was a month ago (2/09/10). It's a good thing I wasn't full term...I would've been enormous!

Well, it was nice catching up with you folks...I'm posting a bunch of pictures of yours truly in my new house, hangin' out with Auntie Alison, Uncle Rob, Nana Joanie, Granpa John, (Ba)nana Cathy and my dog Ted...I'll update this little blog soon. But in the meantime...who do I have to yell at to get a bottle around here?!?

DOL 99

Well slap me silly and call me Martha, they actually let me out today! I'M HOME! I kept hearing about this place "home", but I was beginning to think that they were just pulling my diaper! I'm here, and let me tell you, it's great! It's warm and cozy....a little loud with all the talking, but I'm used to that from all of my nurses. I'll miss the ol' crib at the nursery, but I have a picture to remind me below...

So here I am. 8 lbs., 14 oz. of cute, spit and stink! I am 20 inches long these days and I'm planning on getting much bigger. Shaquille O'Neal was a preemie, ya know!

I love my room. I posted some pics below. I'm going to be a yachtsman, apparently! This is going to be great! I even got to meet my (fur)brother, Teddy! My mom and dad have been doing a pretty good job keeping up with my demands...I'm going to have to train them to jump when I say I want something. So far, screaming at the top of my lungs has been fairly effective in this respect!

I'm very thankful for all the great care that I got to help me along the way. This day is the culmination of countless hours of expertise, care, love, snuggles and diaper changes. Thanks to all you folks who got me to this point. It's sooo great to be home with mom and dad. I'm thrilled to have this opportunity and I am so grateful to all who nursed me from a sick little guy to the behemoth baby you see today. Thanks to all of you who turned my luck around.

I am Jack and I am one of the lucky ones.
